The Blind Insect Multicultural Art Center (BIMAC) is a space for people of diverse cultural backgrounds to gather, perform, and enjoy the arts in a spirit of exchange, collaboration, and mutual appreciation.

It is a destination for both local residents and visiting tourists—a place to hang out on a Saturday afternoon, participate in an art class on a Friday morning, or share a community festival on a Wednesday evening. Rather than merely a place for having rich cultural experiences, it will also be a stimulus for actively creating culture.

BIMAC will house a gallery, a performance space, a music venue, an educational center, a cafe, and a bar. Most importantly, it will be a venue for sharing and experiencing the breadth and diversity of Portland’s cultural heritages, a center that will fill an important niche in the fabric of the region’s cultural offerings.
